Frequently Asked Questions
-
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. Many clients prefer this for the flexibility and privacy it offers—no required diagnoses, session limits, or shared records. If you’d like, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
-
My current rate is $150 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept credit card, HSA, or FSA. If cost is a concern, we can talk about spacing sessions or creating a plan that fits your needs and goals.
-
The first session is about getting a clear picture of what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to be different. We’ll talk through your history, current stressors, and what you hope therapy can help you with. I’ll share how I work and answer any questions so you leave knowing what to expect moving forward.

Everyone’s process looks a little different. Some people come for a few months to focus on a specific goal, while others stay longer for deeper work. Structured approaches like CPT for PTSD often last around 12 sessions, while therapy for anxiety or body image concerns may be more open-ended. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.

I use a mix of research-supported approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate strength-based and motivational interviewing techniques to help you build on what’s already working. CPT is a structured, time-limited treatment for trauma, while therapy for anxiety or body image concerns is usually more flexible and skill-focused. Across all approaches, my goal is to make therapy collaborative, practical, and grounded in real life.

Sessions canceled within 24 hours or missed without notice are billed at the full session rate.
